Kevin Owens Possibly Suffers Injury at WWE Live Event
WWE may be losing one yet another of its best upper midcard stars, as Kevin Owens has reportedly been injured at a WWE live event.
According to correspondents for Wrestling Inc., Owens appeared to have been injured at the end of his match against Sami Zayn at Sunday night’s live event in Columbia, South Carolina. After Owens was pinned by a Blue Thunder Bomb, referee Charles Robinson signaled the “X” with his arms, calling for help from the back for Owens. Owens was helped to the back, although the cause or nature of the injury, or what prompted Robinson to make the “X” sign in the first place, remains unknown. Hopefully, he just had the wind knocked out of him, or something less serious. Between the injury of Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, and the possible departure of Ryback, the heel side of WWE’s midcard can’t handle another loss, especially someone like Owens, who’s involved in one of the more compelling angles at the moment. The four-way Intercontinental title feud between Owens, Zayn, Cesaro and The Miz is one of the bigger matches set for Extreme Rules, and while a triple threat would likely still deliver, it’d be a shame to lose Owens. Here’s hoping he’s okay.
