Kate Hudson’s Father Disowns Her: “She’s Dead To Me Now”

Bill Hudson has disowned Kate Hudson and brother Oliver Hudson, after the two shared messages on social media on Father’s Day that he “abandoned” them.

Oliver Hudson shared a photo which had a caption “Happy abandonment day…” While Kate Hudson shared a photo calling Kurt Russell her “Pa.”

Kate’s mother Goldie Hawn was married to Bill Hudson for four years and divorced in 1980. Kurt Russell has been her partner since 1983, but they are not married.

Bill Hudson told the Daily Mail:

“I say to them now, ‘I set you free.’ I had five birth children [including three from another relationship], but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”

He also blamed Goldie Hawn for the mess (via THR):

Bill said that Hawn did not have anything bad to say about him after they initially split in 1980 after four years of marriage. “But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed, and I became the big, bad wolf,” said the actor and former member of The Hudson Brothers. “I would say to her, ‘Goldie, why are you trashing me and saying I’m an absent father when it’s simply not the case?’ and she’d laugh and go, ‘Oh Bill, you know it makes for a better story.’ “

Wow, harsh. Family drama out in the open.

Some people don’t even have fathers or daughters or sons, don’t know their father, etc. etc.

These celebrities don’t have anything nice to say about their own family. If you agree, SHARE this story on Facebook.
