Justin Bieber Will Be the Next Comedy Central Roast

Comedy Central has scored ratings gold with their annual roasts, as the network has roasted everyone from Donald Trump to Joan Rivers to Charlie Sheen and James Franco.

And now, they’re coming for the Biebs.

A source for Us Weekly confirms that Justin Bieber will be the latest honoree of the Comedy Central Roast. Although an official airdate for the special has not been confirmed, the roast is expected to tape on March 7th.

But there’s more…

Not only will Bieber be present for the roast, the comedy special was apparently his idea.

“Justin has been asking us for years to roast him,” Comedy Central rep told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, “so we kept telling him to create some more material and we’re thrilled he listened.”

So it’s looking like all gloves will be off, as Bieber has done plenty in the past year to get grilled about, whether it’s those altered Calvin Klein ads, his arrest charges in Canada, his probation sentencing on misdemeanor vandalism stemming from the bright idea to egg his neighbor’s house, or his scuffle with Orlando Bloom over the honor of Miranda Kerr.

Basically, 2014 was a newsworthy year for Bieber, and it’s not looking like 2015 is going to be any different. So I hope Justin has some A-1 material prepared, because dude is going to get burned alive out there. Then again, he seems to be a really good sport about these sorts of things. Aside from requesting the roast in the first place, he showed some good humor about that SNL parody of his Calvin Klein ad (embedded below), tweeting the show with a simple “well played. Lol.” While I have no doubt that this roast is likely to border on mean-spirited, as many of these Comedy Central Roasts have in the past, at least the subject seems to know and understand what he’s getting himself into, which is more than could be said for The Situation.
