Julianne Hough Will Not Judge ‘Dancing With the Stars 22’
Dancing With the Stars returns for Season 22 on Monday, March 21. But it will be doing so without one of its most famous stars.
Julianne Hough confirmed that she will not be returning to the judging panel for Dancing With the Stars 22. In an interview with People Magazine, Julianne cited scheduling issues, although she didn’t note the other projects she has lined up being a vague tease that it’s “exciting stuff” she can’t wait to be able to tell us about. Which is alright by me. I’m all about Julianne becoming more famous (girl is talented! And also gorgeous. But mostly talented). Hell, I’d love to see her in another musical, after seeing her in Grease Live! last month.
“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Julianne told the magazine. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”
If there’s a silver lining in all this, it’s that we’ll be getting Len Goodman back. Throw in returning judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, and this is already starting to feel like a throwback season. Now here’s hoping we can get some better casting choices for this season than a rumored pick like Scott Disick. Ugh.
