Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Are Getting Married This Weekend
It looks like Amber Heard is going to be Mrs. Johnny Depp in just a few days.
Depp and Heard are reportedly going to be married this weekend after a yearlong engagement, according to a source close to the situation.
“He’s completely in love and can’t wait,” the source claims, in a statement to E! News.
However, while both parties are reportedly pretty excited about the ceremony, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a huge, massive, lavish ceremony. In fact, the celebration is going to be “a low-key affair” that will be “held at a destination not everyone has access to.”
PEOPLE Magazine claims this mysterious location is actually Depp’s 45-acre private island in the Bahamas that he purchased back in 2004, presumably fresh off that windfall of sweet, sweet Pirates of the Caribbean money from the summer of 2003. Called “Little Hall’s Pond Cay,” it’s apparently Depp’s own slice of paradise, so it certainly makes sense he’d tie the knot in his happy place.
This will be Depp’s second marriage after his two-year union with Lori Anne Allison, from 1983 to 1985. This is also his first serious relationship since his split with actress Vanessa Paradis in 2012. The couple had been together for 14 years, and although they never married, Depp and Paradis had two children, daughter Lily-Rose, 15, and son Jack, 12. This is the first marriage for Heard, who met Depp on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011.
Congratulations to the happy couple, on what we hope will be a gorgeous, memorable wedding day.
