Joey Cook Teams With Postmodern Jukebox for Awesome ‘Say My Name’ Cover (VIDEO)

Joey Cook is getting her Beyonce on, along with the supremely talented folks at Postmodern Jukebox!

In this terrific cover, Joey Cook serves up some vintage attitude with her take on “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child. The song is arranged in the style of a vintage 60s soul ballad, and while Joey is best known for her more quirky song interpretations during her run on American Idol last season, the soulful R&B approach totally works for her. REALLY well. I swear, every new PMJ video helps me rediscover songs and view them in completely new ways. And this video is no different. I absolutely love it, and I’m hoping we get even more familiar faces from American Idol in the future. We’ve already had Joey, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Von Smith, and Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis will be joining PMJ on tour in January. Could we maybe get Quentin Alexander or Devin Velez collaborations? So many possibilities! Watch the awesome video below:
