Jason Biggs Will Not Return for ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Season 3

Jason Biggs is a free man.

It has now been confirmed that Biggs will not return for Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black.

“They’re not focusing on Larry at the moment,” Biggs said in an interview with the New York Daily News. “Larry will not be in season three. But there’s always a possibility he can come back.”

Biggs played the role of Piper’s ex-fiance, Larry Bloom, yet there isn’t really a storyline left for him, at the moment. Of course, his departure from Orange In the New Black doesn’t mean Biggs will be out of work. He’s on his way back to Broadway for The Heidi Chronicles, where he’ll star alongside Bryce Pinkham and Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss. The play opens February 23, and if it’s enough of a success, it could enjoy a nice, long run on Broadway. Long enough to keep him busy through Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black, which hits Netflix this June.

At the very least, it should help him stay busy enough that he keeps his questionable comedy off of Twitter, i.e., where public relations disasters happen. Lord knows, the man could probably use the break.
