Jared Leto Cuts Trademark Hair to Play Joker in ‘Suicide Squad’ (PHOTO)
Jared Leto has been one of the most identifiable figures in Hollywood over the past two years thanks to his luxurious, long-flowing hair that looks ready for a Pantene Pro-V commercial.
But now, his hair and similarly shipshape beard are a thing of the past, as Leto has gotten rid of both for his upcoming role as The Joker in next summer’s Suicide Squad from director David Ayers.
Ayers posted a photo to Twitter revealing the now clean-shaven and shorn Leto, and while I’m sure some people will be sad to see the look go, Leto has the whole “mad handsome Oscar winner” thing going for him, so it’s not as if he’s hiding a monster underneath the scraggly look. I could pretty easily see Leto as The Joker before, but now I can clearly envision him as the Clown Prince of Crime, and that’s got me excited for next summer in a big way.
We won’t be able to see Leto as The Joker until Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016, but you can check out the clean-shaven Leto below:
