INXS guitarist Tim Farriss loses finger, may never play again
INXS guitarist Tim Farriss suffered a boating accident last Jan. 24 which resulted in permanent damage to his left hand and his ring finger severed. He has undergone two operations to reattached the finger, but it is too early to tell if he will ever play guitar again.
Tim wrote a message on the INXS Facebook today to thank the fans for their support through “this nightmare”:
“I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes I’m receiving. Thank you all, I’m feeling the love and it’s really helping me get through this nightmare.”
We are wishing Tim all the best. The band retired in 2012 but received a bit of a renaissance last year after great ratings for the TV miniseries Never Tear Us Apart. This resulted in a boost for their The Very Best album in Australia.
