‘House of Cards’ Renewed for Season 4 by Netflix
Netflix is bringing back its flagship drama series next year.
House of Cards has been renewed for Season 4. The announcement comes a little more than a month after its most buzzworthy season yet, as Frank Underwood pursued plans for his reelection campaign. It’s a storyline that is set to continue in Season 4, as the official renewal announcement on Twitter reveals:

For better or worse, Frank Underwood isn’t giving up the White House, and that sort of tenacity could result in some Emmy-worthy work from Kevin Spacey. That alone is enough to get me excited for next season, even ignoring the way Season 3 ended. Of course, the renewal was a given, but it’s good to get confirmation from Netflix themselves: because Netflix closely guards data on its original series, it’s hard to be sure just what kind of “ratings” the show draws. That said, given what a hot topic the third season was last month, it’s hard to imagine it wasn’t an insanely popular viewing choice for a lot of subscribers.
Bring on Season 4!
