Great Dane Helps Disabled Girl Around School, Becomes Greatest Dane (VIDEO)
A Great Dane can be a good service dog for many, but they can also be an even better friend.
Little 11-year-old Bella Burton was born with Morquio syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that limits bone growth. Despite countless surgeries, she’s needed a wheelchair just to get around, and can’t walk without the assistance of crutches. However, that changed when George came to her rescue. George is a 131-pound Great Dane would is a better friend to her than many people have in their lifetime. He leads her from class to class, making walking easier for her than it was with her crutches. In-between classes, George takes a nap, and then he’s right back up again to help Bella to her next class. He’s always by her side, and he’s always dependable. George isn’t just a Great Dane, he’s the greatest Dane. Watch the adorable video below:
