Ford Pays Tribute To NASA with Mustang Apollo Edition (PHOTOS)
Ford has created a new special “Apollo Edition” Mustang for 2015. The company has created one-off Mustangs for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh before for its “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.”
Check out these cool photos from Carbuzz:
The Apollo Edition has a one-off paint scheme paying tribute to NASA’s Apollo spacecraft. You’ll also see that Ford has added a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser as well as unique underbody lights that, according to Ford, symbolize atmospheric re-entry. Oh, and the 21-inch Forgiato wheels don’t look bad either. There’s a supercharger here and along with the other performance mods it ups the ante to 627 horsepower and 540 lb-ft of torque. There’s new Brembo brakes to help slow you down and a sport-tuned suspension to ensure you can do more than move in a straight line. Let us know in the comments how much you think this one-off Mustang is worth.
