First Tesla Race Car Can Go 0-60 In Crazy Time
What happens when Tesla decides to get into racing with an Electric GT race car? You get a car that goes from 0-60 with crazy speed.
Although Electric GT revealed the first racing-spec Tesla with the new P100D, a car that can make 778 horsepower and 734 lb. ft. of torque. As if that isn’t insane enough, the car can go from 0-60 in just 2.1 seconds, an improvement over the regular Tesla Model S P100D, which can make the same acceleration in 2.4 seconds.
But when can you see the new P100D in action?
Well, the first racing season for Electric GT is expected to begin this September, with 10 teams competing across seven races. We’ll be looking forward to it.
