First Look at Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ (PHOTO)

Daredevil is coming to Netflix, and with a hero like Matt Murdock comes a villain like Wilson Fisk.

Vincent D’Onofrio stars as Fisk, who is better known as the imposing gangster Kingpin. Originally played by Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2003 film opposite Ben Affleck, this version of Fisk is a man who initially seems a bit uncertain in his own skin, though that reticent demeanor belies a more intense, ruthless personality.

“I just brought in this kind of character who in one sentence could easily go from being a child to a monster, depending on where his emotions take him,” D’Onofrio said in an interview with USA Today.

D’Onofrio is an incredibly intense actor, and an unexpectedly perfect choice for Fisk, in my opinion. So I’m excited to see what he does with the character when the show premieres April 10 on Netflix (so many binging choices! I’m not even done with House of Cards yet!). But until then, check out the first look at D’Onofrio as Fisk/Kingpin below:
