First Look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman in ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (PHOTO)
Jason Momoa is Aquaman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. But we haven’t really had any hints as to what visual style his take on the character would have. Would it be the more traditional orange suit/green gloves look? Or would it be a new, Khal Drogo/Game of Thrones-inspired take, riffing on Momoa’s most famous character?
The answer seems to be more in the latter camp, as director Zack Snyder tweeted the first official photo of Momoa as the iconic Justice League superhero. This version of Aquaman has what appears to be scaled epaulets adorning his shoulders and running down the length of his bicep, leading to the gauntlets that cover his forearms. On his chest, several tribal-looking tattoos cover his body, while his hair is a mess of tangles that seem vibrant with a life of their own. He sports a badass, aged-looking beard, and an equally badass trident in his hands to match. It’s a pretty cool look for the superhero. But what do you think?
