‘Empire’ Stars Announced as 2015 Emmy Presenters

Although Empire wasn’t nominated for as many Emmys as pundits were predicting, the most popular new show on network television will still have a major presence at the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Lead stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard have been announced as presenters for the telecast, which is less than two weeks away, airing Sept. 20 on FOX. Henson is a nominee this year for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Empire, which is the show’s biggest nomination (I’m still, frankly, shocked that none of its music was nominated. Sure, it sucks it didn’t get that Best Drama nod, but I thought its music was a slam dunk).

Henson and Howard are among the first stars announced as presenters for the Emmys, as they join a list that (so far) includes:

LL Cool J
Jimmy Fallon
Maggie Gyllenhaal (a nominee for The Honourable Woman)
Amy Poehler (who is also nominated this year for the final season of Parks and Recreation)

However, they’re not the only stars expected to join the telecast, as more names are expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks.

Hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg, the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air Sept. 20 on FOX.
