Eddie Redmayne Is GQ’s ‘Best Dressed Man’

The UK branch of GQ magazine has made its picks for the best dressed men of the year, and at the top of the list is an actor who’s accruing tons of awards season buzz for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

Eddie Redmayne tops this year’s list, making a 26-spot jump from last year, as he goes from #27 to #1. He beat out a list of impressive candidates, including Benedict Cumberbatch (who’s earning awards attention himself for his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game), 50 Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan, Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner, actors Idris Elba and Douglas Booth, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, film producer David Furnish and model David Gandy. Hell, he even beat out Prince Charles, although I guess the Prince of Wales can still be glad he beat out his grandson, as Prince George debuted at No. 49. Hyping up the bright fashion future ahead for the 1-year-old, the magazine writes, “Already following in the footsteps of his great-great-great-uncle, Edward VIII, and his grandfather, the Prince of Wales, Prince George looks set to become the UK’s best-dressed man.”

Ah well, better-dressed or not, I feel like it’s pretty easy to agree that the kid is at least a hundred thousand times cuter than his grandfather.
