Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Confirms Appearance at WWE Wrestlemania 32

The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment is returning to WWE for Wrestlemania 32!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed he’s heading to Dallas in April for the biggest show in the WWE calendar year. Despite rumors that insurance concerns related to his film career would keep him off the show, The Rock took to Instagram to share the big news, as he looks to help WWE break the all-time attendance record for a WWE live event. It’s long been expected that WWE would go all-out to try and break the record, and a match from The Rock could be the way they do it. But for now, The Rock just seems stoked that he’ll be there, whether wrestling or not. Check out The Rock’s official statement on Wrestlemania, along with the Instagram post itself, below:

IT’S OFFICIAL: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s sayin’.. ????. THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses
Thrice in a lifetime? Let’s do it.

While this would be The Rock’s sixth consecutive Wrestlemania appearance since returning to WWE in 2011, he’s only wrestled in two of them, at Wrestlemania 28 and Wrestlemania 29, both matches against John Cena. Now could be the chance to elevate someone on the current roster by putting them in the ring against The Rock, although last year’s Wrestlemania seemed to be setting up a program between The Rock and HHH. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Who should The Rock face at Wrestlemania? Should he even wrestle at all? Or has Wrestlemania become too saturated with part-timers on the card? Sound off in the comments!
