Drake, Blake Shelton, Demi Lovato, More Read ‘Mean Tweets’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live (VIDEO)
Jimmy Kimmel Live! returned with a brand new edition of Mean Tweets, in honor of the 58th Grammy Awards. Featured in the segment were some of the night’s winners, such as Best New Artist recipient Meghan Trainor, and some of the night’s performers, such as Demi Lovato. We even had music legends such as James Taylor and Lionel Richie on hand to read some Mean Tweets as well. It was another hilarious segment, albeit far more vicious than most.
While there were some unsubtle insults that lacked creativity (such as those levied against Josh Groban and Common), and others that lacked any sort of bite (such as those against Taylor and Richie), there were some pretty damn brutal ones, with one singer getting called out for being a “bloated assh*le”, and another getting slammed for “dressing like a bag of d*cks.” But like any good celebrity who’s winning at life — at least relative to some antsy Twitter users — they take the criticism in stride, and it ends up making for a fun bit of TV. We’ve got a ton of celebs here including The Voice coach Blake Shelton, American Idol star Kelly Clarkson, The X Factor UK judge Rita Ora, and rappers Drake and Wiz Khalifa, just to name a few.
