Donald Trump Denounces Harriet Tubman $20 Bill As ‘Pure Political Correctness’ (VIDEO)
Donald Trump appeared on TODAY this morning for a live Town Hall meeting. In the segment, Trump discussed topics such as immigration, LGBT laws, and taxes. However, the soundbite that’s been making the rounds since the segment aired has been this clip in which he discusses his thoughts on the Harriet Tubman $20 bill.
As it turns out, Trump isn’t exactly thrilled about the decision. While he respects Harriet Tubman and thinks she’s fantastic, he doesn’t like that this comes at the expense of Andrew Jackson, whom he felt was a great American who contributed a lot to the country. Of course, his solution isn’t exactly delicate, as he proposes they create a new denomination to put Tubman on, even going as far as to suggest resurrecting the $2 bill. Trump would go on to state that the move is “pure political correctness.” Watch the video below:
