Donald Trump Banned from Republican Event After Megyn Kelly Debate Comment

Donald Trump has been banned from an upcoming Republican event, and it’s all a result of his brazen remarks regarding the GOP Debate on Thursday night.

In an interview with CNN, Trump called out FOX News reporter Megyn Kelly, stating she “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” while questioning him during the debate. Apparently, this was perceived as a menstruation reference, and was taken pretty poorly not just by women and supporters of Kelly, but even by some Trump supporters. Trump had been scheduled to appear at a special tailgate at the College Footbll Hall of Fame in Atlanta tonight, but as a result of his comments, event organizer and conservative activist Erick Erickson has officially rescinded Trump’s invitation.

Erickson would go on to invite Megyn Kelly to attend the festival in Trump’s place, although he notes that it’s unlikely she’ll be able to. That said, this hasn’t stopped Erickson from going all-in on Trump:

Of course, the irony here is that Erickson himself has made comments that aren’t exactly the most supportive towards the opposite sex. Hell, you might argue some of his past comments are just as bad, if not worse, than Trump’s.

For his part, Trump has responded to the ban from the event with a rant on Twitter, lamenting the political correctness at play, and the “weakness” it supposedly represents:

What do you think of this conflict? An overreaction? Justified? Will any of this even matter to Trump’s campaign, in the long run? Sound off in the comments!
