Dolce & Gabbana unapologetic after ‘Synthetic Children’ backlash (Read Statement)

Dolce & Gabbana have released a statement regarding their comments about gay adoption which appeared in Italian magazine Panorama. They were quoted as saying: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

This has unleashed a backlash online, led by Sir Elton John, Ricky Martin, Sharon Stone, and Ryan Murphy.

Elton John wrote on his Instagram on Sunday:

How dare you refer to my beautiful children as “synthetic”. And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana

Dolce & Gabbana have responded to the criticism with a statement, and let’s just say, they are not sorry… at all. Time to boycott.

Dolce & Gabbana Statement

“We believe firmly in democracy and we think freedom of expression is essential for that. We talked about our way of looking at the world, but it was not our intention to express a judgment on other people‚Äôs choices. We believe in freedom and love.”

Excuse me, your are totally judging. I’m done with these two.
