Daytime Emmy Awards 2015: ‘Days of Our Lives’, ‘Young and the Restless’ Tie for Best Drama
The winners are in for the Daytime Emmy Awards 2015, and the top category delivered one huge shocker.
Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless tied for Best Drama Series, defeating General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. This is an altogether rare feat, but it was simply one of several highlights at the 42nd annual ceremony.
General Hospital took home the two top acting awards for Anthony Geary and Maura West, and tied The Young and the Restless for most awards of the night overall, with three honors apiece. Talk show hosts Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, morning show hosts Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa, and game show host Craig Ferguson were also among the winners, as was lifetime achievement award recipient Betty White.
