Cris Cyborg Challenges Miesha Tate for UFC 205 in NYC
Cris “Cyborg” Justino wants a shot at UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate — provided Tate can get past Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9.
Cyborg went on Twitter yesterday to challenge Tate for UFC 205 on November 12 in New York City. The momentous card will mark UFC’s debut at Madison Square Garden, and it’s expected to rival UFC 200 for the title of biggest fight card this year.

For her part, Tate has stated in past interviews that she’d be up for fighting Cyborg.
At a recent media event in Los Angeles, Tate stated, “I think it would be really cool to fight Cyborg, honestly. Like to really see what it’s like to be in there with someone with her power.”
It would certainly be an interesting fight, with one of the best featherweights in Invicta taking on one of the best bantamweights in UFC. It’d be all the more exciting if the title were on the line. That said, all of this would be predicated on Cyborg making 135. But I think she’s dedicated enough to make it happen if Dana White is willing to give her that fight, particularly if Tate does get past Nunes at UFC 200.
But what do you think? Would you be down for seeing Cyborg vs. Tate? If not, whom do you think each fighter should match-up against next? Sound off in the comments!
