Credit Card Breach at Donald Trump Hotel Properties
The Trump Hotel Collection, a string of hotel business tied to Donald Trump, is the latest victim of a credit card breach which extends up to February 2015.
Trump properties in Chicago, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami and New York have all been affected.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisitions, acknowledged the hack in a statement (via KrebsonSecurity):
“Like virtually every other company these days, we have been alerted to potential suspicious credit card activity and are in the midst of a thorough investigation to determine whether it involves any of our properties. We are committed to safeguarding all guests’ personal information and will continue to do so vigilantly.”
This has not been a good few days for Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president.
His business partners have cut ties with him after he made derogatory remarks against immigrants. Now it’s seems best to avoid his hotels as well because the financial systems he has in place are not secure.
