Christina Aguilera and The Rockettes to Perform at 2015 NBA All-Star Game
Christina Aguilera is the latest performer to sign up for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game!
Aguilera will kick off the NBA All-Star Game with a special performance alongside New York’s iconic dance troupe, The Rockettes. The performance is part of the Entertainment Series presented by JBL, and will air live at 8:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 15, just before the NBA All-Star Game kicks off from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Of course, this performance is the union of two New York native acts, as Aguilera was born in Staten Island. The Voice coach takes over from fellow coach Pharrell Williams, who filled the opening performance slot at last year’s NBA All-Star Game. This year, Aguilera’s performance with the Rockettes will lead right into the player introductions.
Aguilera is the second singer added to the lineup for the sporting event, as Ariana Grande was confirmed as this year’s halftime performer. Aguilera is one of the best singers in the entire industry today, and The Rockettes are always fun to see, so this should be a hell of an opening for the event.
