Christina Aguilera Addresses The Voice ‘Girl Curse’ on The Tonight Show (VIDEO)

Christina Aguilera returns as a coach on The Voice this season, and this is the year she’s hoping to break one of the show’s longest standing traditions: The Girl Curse. In nine seasons, a female coach has never won The Voice, and it’s clearly getting on Christina’s nerves. But not all hope is lost.

In an appearance on The Tonight Show, Christina told Jimmy Fallon that she truly believes this will be the year where a female coach finally wins the show, stating that she has a team for Season 10 that she thinks could really go all the way.

“This year my team is really solid,” Christina stated. “Even the boys are like ‘Man, you might break the girl curse this year!’” she said, mimicking Blake Shelton’s speaking voice. It’s an amusing interview, and worth checking out. The Voice returns for Season 10 on Monday, February 29 on NBC. Until then, watch Christina’s interview with Jimmy below:
