Charter to buy Time Warner Cable for $55 Billion – Report
Charter Communications Inc. is nearing a deal to buy Time Warner Cable Inc. for $55 billion, according to a report from Bloomberg.
Charter has made a second attempt to buy TWC, after the $45 billion merger of TWC and Comcast fell apart last April.
Charter is the fourth largest U.S. cable company and Time Warner Cable is No. 2.
This is not as alarming as the Comcast deal which I am glad did not happen.
The Time Warner Cable peeps really want to sell apparently. This deal is $10 billion more from last year’s Comcast one, so investors should be very happy.
