Charmayne Maxwell dead at 46, killed by Wine Glass

Charmayne Maxwell of the the R&B group Brownstone died Friday evening at age 46. She fell on a broken wine glass which punctured the back of her skull in two places. So unlucky!

TMZ describes the freak accident:

… detectives combed the scene where the ex-Brownstone singer fell on Friday evening — and say all evidence points to her falling backward at the doorway between the house and the back patio … while holding a wine glass.

… during the fall … the wine glass shattered on the ground behind Maxwell’s head, and when she landed shards of glass punctured the back of her neck in two places. We’re told there was an injury to the back of her head, and it’s possible she was knocked unconscious.

No foul play is suspected at this time. A coroner is conducting an autopsy and a toxicology test to see if she was intoxicated during the accident.

To be honest, this was really a sucky way to go. Our thoughts are with her family and fans.
