Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews Join ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ as Judges

Two newcomers are joining the judging panel when RuPaul’s Drag Race returns for Season 7.

Fashion expert and former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star Carson Kressley will join the panel alongside E! talk show host Ross Mathews.

“I have never been more qualified to do anything in my entire life,” Mathews said in a statement. “As quite possibly the biggest super fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race in the entire galaxy, I take my position as a judge very seriously and will proudly serve as a voice for my fellow super fans—albeit a very high-pitched voice.”

This season is looking to be the biggest yet, with a host of celebrity judges rotating throughout the panel, from Ariana Grande and John Waters, to Kat Dennings and Jessica Alba. The cast for the new season has already been revealed, and it features some of the oldest contestants as well as some of the youngest contestants in the history of the reality competition, and include contestants from a wide variety of places. From Hudson, Wisconsin, to Cayey, Puerto Rico (my family’s hometown!), this is one of the most varied casts yet.

The new season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, with Kressley and Mathews as judges, will debut on Monday, March 2 at 9:00 PM ET on Logo TV.
