Cara Delevingne Clashes With Hosts In World’s Most Awkward Interview (VIDEO)

Cara Delevingne appeared on Good Morning Sacramento to promote Paper Towns, the latest John Green adaptation that just opened in theaters. However, the resulting interview was a disaster of cringe-worthy proportions.

At first, it seemed like the awkwardness was on Cara, who didn’t appear to be in the mood for the hosts’ dull, by-the-book questions. But as the interview went on, the hosts did more than their share in making this an absolutely painful interview to sit through, from calling her “Carla” to suggesting she take a nap and drink a Red Bull to get over her grumpiness. It was a downright condescending tone, particularly when the hosts blast her once she signs off, saying “You make $5 million for six weeks’ worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some oomph!”

Honestly, when the interview first started, it seemed like Cara really didn’t want any part of the interview. But as it went on, it seemed to me that her snappy retorts were simply her sense of humor. Her sarcasm about having never read the book or the script, and just winging it in the film, felt like the type of dry humor that would fly over these hosts’ heads. Regardless of whether or not Cara wanted to be there, their complaining at the end of the interview was pretty much the opposite of professionalism. Had they kept their cool, maybe Cara would have been the one who looked bad here, but ultimately, these hosts were like some sort of ridiculous parody of morning show personalities. Just unprofessional and condescending. This was a Hot Mess Express, and these hosts were the ones shoveling the coal into the engine fire (or whatever, I don’t know how the hell trains work).

But what did you think of the interview? Do you side with the hosts or are you Team Cara Delevingne? Sound off in the comments!
