Bruce Campbell Cast in ‘Fargo’ Season 2 as Ronald Reagan
Bruce Campbell has been elected president. President Ronald Reagan that is (before the president part).
Campbell will take on the role for the second season of Fargo (set in 1979) which is a prequel to the events in Season 1.
Said FX CEO John Landgraf of the decision to add Reagan, “He’s on his first campaign [and he] makes a swing through Fargo. Some of the characters have some interactions with him. And some of his movies are also a part of the show.”
“A lot of what [the season’s] about is the cultural transformation that was going on at the time.”
Campbell joins an already full cast, including Patrick Wilson (who plays a younger version of Keith Carradine’s Season 1 character Lou Solverson), Cristin Milioti, Jean Smart, Nick Offerman, Ted Danson, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons.
