‘Bones’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Crossover Coming This Season
Could it be that Ichabod Crane and Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan will be solving crimes together soon?
It’s certainly looking that way. FOX is reportedly planning a crossover between Bones and Sleepy Hollow for this coming season. The crossover will last two episodes, one for each show. It’s similar to The CW structure for its DC Universe crossovers. The Flash and Arrow crossovers split it to one episode apiece, although I imagine that’ll get a bit more complicated this season with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at midseason.
FOX has been planning this for a while, and it was initially intended to happen in the early fall season. However, the logistical complications involved in crossing these two very different shows means this will end up happening much later in the 2015-2016 broadcast season. But when? We don’t know yet. Nor do we know what the stories will necessarily entail. But both Bones and Sleepy Hollow have been taking a hit in the ratings, so this could serve as the boost both series need. If nothing else, these crossover episodes should make a solid two hours of programming, as Bones and Sleepy Hollow are scheduled to air back-to-back on Thursday nights this fall. It should be a good time for fans of off-kilter procedurals.
