Bobbi Kristina Brown Dead at 22, Brown Family Releases Statement
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has died at age 22.
“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” the Houston family said in a statement. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Bobbi Kristina had been hospitalized since Jan. 31 after being found unresponsive in her bathtub. She was moved to hospice care in June, and the resulting war between her family over her care and her finances made headlines, even more so than her sadly faltering health. Whether it was boyfriend Nick Gordon claiming that Bobbi Kristina’s drug use caused her accident (allegations made amid similar accusations being lobbied against him in the form of a $10 million lawsuit for allegedly beating and stealing from Bobbi Kristina), or whether it was Bobby Brown and his family being banned from seeing Bobbi Kristina over concerns they were involved in the leaked deathbed photo, there’s been a lot of controversy surrounding this situation. More recently, Bobbi Kristina’s room was cleared of all Whitney Houston memorabilia as the family prepared for the tragic end to this sad story.
Bobbi Kristina was the only child to come from the marriage of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. She was born in 1993, and famously joined her mother onstage in both 1999 and 2009 for performances of “My Love is Your Love”.
Our condolences are with the Brown family at this time. It’s sad to lose someone so young.
