Blake Shelton on Gwen Stefani Relationship: ‘This Is How My Life Turned Around’ (VIDEO)
Blake Shelton dropped by Chelsea Handler’s new Netflix show, Chelsea, to discuss his new album, If I’m Honest. Naturally, in discussing the background of the album, he had to talk about the story it tells, primarily his divorce from Miranda Lambert and his new relationship with his fellow coach on The Voice, Gwen Stefani.
It’s an incredibly frank and personal interview, as Blake recalls bonding with Gwen over their respective divorces at the time, as Gwen had just separated from rocker Gavin Rossdale. “She’s going through basically the same exact thing at the same time,” Blake stated, before adding that the eventual relationship that came from that initial bond has changed everything. “This is how my life turned around, and so quickly too, by the way. It’s like, ‘Woah. All this has to be meant to happen.’ so I made a record about it.”
Of course, Blake admits he’s still kind of nervous to be talking about this entire situation. But when asked by Chelsea whether he’s happier now than he was then, Blake is quick to answer, “There’s no question about that. Absolutely no question about that.”
Glad to hear he’s happy! Here’s hoping he and Gwen can make this thing work. You can watch the excerpt from the interview below, and watch the full episode (posted today) by checking out Chelsea on Netflix:
