Billy Gilman Is Knockout Round Showstealer On The Voice 2016 (VIDEO)
Billy Gilman competed against Ponciano Seoane on The Voice 2016 Knockout Round on October 25, 2016, for Team Blake Shelton!
Billy pretty much stole the show with his performance of “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten. I loved it, and what’s crazy is that “Fight Song” isn’t even a song I like at all. Seriously, there was a six-month stretch where it was my least favorite song on the radio. I do like Rachel Platten though, for what that’s worth. Either way, Billy’s version has really turned me around on this song. It was so silky smooth and soulful, with a hint of a country influence. With that said, I thought Ponciano did an incredible job, delivering the best version of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” that I’ve yet seen on a singing competition. And considering how often this song tends to get performed on shows like this, that’s saying a lot. This was a great Knockout Round showdown. Both men deserved to go through, but only one could win. Watch the performance videos below:
Result: Billy Gilman WINS the Knockout. Ponciano Seoane is NOT stolen, sadly.
