Beyonce Played Infamous Ronda Rousey ‘Do-Nothing Bitch’ Speech at Made In America
Beyonce made headlines at Made In America this weekend by sending a shoutout to the only female celebrity who might be as popular as she is herself.
Moments before performing her popular song, “Diva,” Beyonce played a clip from undefeated UFC star Ronda Rousey’s infamous “do-nothing bitch” speech.
“I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. And I call it a do-nothing bitch,” the MMA star said in a vlog over the summer. “A kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by somebody else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious when people say my body looks masculine or something like that. Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f—ing millionaires, doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as f— because there’s not a single muscle in my body that isn’t for a purpose. Because I’m not a do-nothing bitch.”
In response, Ronda showed her appreciation for Queen Bey by posting a photo to Instagram that indicated she was listening to “Diva”:
You know, it’s kind of fitting. This is a track that’s as fun as it is fierce, which is perfect for Ronda, considering there aren’t many women on the planet who are as fierce as she is. Well, except for Beyonce. Still, I’m wondering if maybe she might use “Diva” as entrance music for her January 2nd fight against the undefeated Holly Holm. If nothing else, it’d be better than Vitor Belfort coming out to “Bleed It Out” by Linkin Park, which is such a strangely incongruous choice for a walkout song that it actually slays anticipation. However, I don’t imagine Ronda is going to have any trouble building anticipation for her fights, regardless of what song she comes out to (although a little Beyonce couldn’t hurt! She’s pretty much the polar opposite of a “do-nothing bitch”, after all).
