‘Better Call Saul’ Characters Are Spotlighted by AMC (VIDEO)

Better Call Saul is less than a week away from premiere, so AMC is stepping up the promotional machine behind the Breaking Bad spinoff.

In this new preview for the series, we take a look at some of the characters who will be anchoring the show. Not just Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) — the future Saul Goodman — but also his brother Chuck (Michael McKean), a brilliant lawyer who “truly believes you get ahead by doing good.” We also meet Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian), a high-powered attorney who is “blessed by life.” He’s essentially everything Jimmy isn’t, and it’s a reality that weighs on the future “criminal” lawyer. Also in the cast is Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, a mail room worker at the Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill firm. Kim is ambitious and sharp, but also somewhat antagonistic towards Jimmy, despite the pair arguably being on the same side. Lastly, there’s Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who is working as a parking attendant. “Why IS Mike working as a parking attendant? It’s a wonderful tease, is what it is,” says Banks. Of course, knowing what would become of Mike in Breaking Bad, it really is the opposite of the origin we might expect for Mike. But that’s what makes it fascinating, in all honesty.

The two-night series premiere of Better Call Saul debuts this Sunday, February 8 at 9:00 PM ET on AMC. But you can get more acquainted with the characters by checking out the video preview up below:
