‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Couple Josh Murray And Amanda Stanton Have ‘Broken Up A Couple Times’

Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton got engaged in Tuesday night’s season finale of Bachelor In Paradise. The intertitle at the end of the episode added that Josh and Amanda have moved in together, with Josh relocating from Atlanta to be with Amanda in Irvine, California. The update also noted that Josh has grown to love Amanda’s two young daughters as though they were his own. However, recent reports suggest it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Josh and Amanda’s relationship since the show ended.

“Josh and Amanda are still engaged, but it’s been a tough road,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “They have broken up a couple times since getting home and have had a rough start to their relationship.”

The source would go on to add, “Part of it in the beginning was the distance, and the other part was added pressures like dating in the ‘real world’.”

Despite the couple managing to get past other castmates warning Amanda about Josh’s intentions, it seems the couple is still plagued by the claims made in former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman’s book. In particular, Amanda’s concerns center on her children, since her affection for Josh is, naturally, secondary to the well-being of the girls.

“Amanda has two little girls and of course that is going to add a different kind of pressure to a new relationship,” the source concluded.

Of course, despite the unnamed source’s assertions, Amanda and Josh are still together. But if their relationship is really so volatile that they’ve broken up multiple times since filming on the show ended at the end of June, then it’s not that hard to imagine another break-up could be on the horizon. Then again, you never know. I’m not sure anyone was expecting Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney to work out, considering how their relationship started., but they got married and had a daughter together. That said, if I had to pick which of the couples from Bachelor In Paradise were most likely to last, I’d go Carly/Evan, Grant/Lace and then Amanda/Josh, in that order.

But what do you think? Could Amanda and Josh have a future together? Are you rooting for them to make it? Sound off in the comments!
