‘Attack On Titan’ Live-Action TV Series In the Works Now Too
Attack On Titan is already headed to the big screen in live-action form, and hey, it’s even got a trailer! And yet, it doesn’t appear the brand isn’t going to end with movies, anime and manga entries.
A live-action television series is reportedly in the works with a premiere date set for this August, the same month the first live-action movie hits theaters (and one month before the second).
The live-action TV series will star Satomi Ishihara, who will once again play Hanji, reprising her role from the live action movies. Joining her are fellow big screen co-stars Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Rina Takeda as Lil, and Ayame Misaki as Hiana. In addition, Y?ta Hiraoka will join the cast as a new character.
Sinji Higuchi, the helmer who directed the live-action Attack on Titan film, will direct the TV series, which will be supervised by franchise creator Hajime Isayama. The series has no specific premiere date other than “sometime in August,” but we do know that once it release, it will stream on the dTV streaming service. So if you’re a fan of Attack On Titan, this is shaping up to be a great summer.
