American Pharoah wins Preakness 2015 (VIDEO)

American Pharoah won the Preakness 2015 on a rainy Saturday at Pimlico in dominant fashion, leading from start to finish. The horse and jockey Victor Espinoza now has a chance to win the Triple Crown in three weeks at Belmont Park.

This is Espinoza’s third chance at a Triple Crown: He rode California Chrome last year and War Emblem in 2002. I hope he gets it!

The Belmont Stakes is the most difficult to win because most of the horses that run at Belmont do not run at the Kentucky Derby nor the Preakness Stakes. They are considered “rested” unlike in this case, American Pharaoh, who has already run two major races.

It seems unfair but that’s how the rules work. There will only be one horse running for the “Triple Crown” in three weeks. The rest will just run to win the race.
