American Idol Top 5 Visit Nashville
The American Idol Top 5 hopefuls visited Nashville, home of Big Machine Label Group, which will sign the winner this season to a contract. Mentor Scott Borchetta played host, showing the Idols around Nashville.
From Brian Mansfield of USA Today:
For Clark Beckham and Rayvon Owen, American Idol’s trip here Thursday and Friday practically felt like going home. Beckham lived in Nashville as a child before moving to nearby White House. Owen attended Belmont University, known for its music-business program.
The season’s five remaining finalists — Beckham, Owen, Tyanna Jones, Nick Fradiani and Jax — flew to Nashville Thursday on a private jet. That night, they went to the city’s Lower Broadway entertainment district, a place Beckham used to play as a street performer.
Friday morning, the singers took a tour of Big Machine Label Group. This year’s winner will sign to one of the Nashville-based company’s labels. “They gave us the visual, walking us through what it would be like to work with Big Machine,” Jones says. “We even sat at the table where they get their ideas together and told us what would happen after the tour.”
Look for a lot of Nashville screen time this Wednesday!
