‘American Idol’ Star Melinda Doolittle Nails ‘Toxic’ With Postmodern Jukebox (VIDEO)

American Idol star Melinda Doolittle is officially making her debut with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox with their latest video, a sultry jazz cover of the Britney Spears hit “Toxic”.

The vocal is exactly as outstanding as you’d expect from a singer like Melinda, as she finesses every note and really turns this song on its head. Granted, “Toxic” is a song that’s been open to jazzy interpretations in the past, both online and on talent shows like The X Factor (shout out to Chloe Jasmine!), but I think this might be my favorite of the bunch.
