American Idol Song Suggestions for ‘Arena Anthems’ Week

The American Idol XIV Top 6 will sing “arena anthems” next week and here are some song suggestions we thought would be appropriate.

The theme is rather broad, with songs described as: “songs that can entertain a massive crowd and are performed by mega superstars.” Literally could be anything.

But here’s our best effort:

American Idol- Song Suggestions for 'Arena Anthems' Week

Tyanna Jones – “Chandelier” by Sia. This is a crowd-pleaser song that Tyanna could easily tackle. Or “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Tyanna’s probably the only one left who could pull this one off.

Clark Beckham – “Budapest” by George Ezra or “Take Me To Church” by Hozier or “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town. Clark can literally appeal to any of these genre-spanning audiences. He should take a current hit and run with it.

Jax – “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi. She’s from New Jersey, she should do this. She should sing anything by Bon Jovi for this theme. Makes it easy for everybody.

Nick Fradiani – “Home” by Chris Daughtry or “Home” by Phillip Phillips. He sounds like Chris already, a no-brainer. Nick should go for the jugular and sing to Idol’s core audience.

Quentin Alexander – “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz. Might as well do a take 2 of this, the buzz created after this performance was easily the highlight of the entire season. And we know Idol needs more moments like this. Let’s just do it again but better! Or “Purple Rain” by Prince. He’ll probably be criticized again for copying, but what else is new from the judges’ table.

Rayvon Owen – “Sugar” by Maroon 5. This should please Rayvon (and his fans on Twtiter) with the endless falsetto. Or “This Woman’s Work” by Maxwell. Again, the fals.

So what do you guys think the Idols should sing this week?
