‘American Idol’ Producers Sue Phillip Phillips For $6 Million
“American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips has been sued by 19 Entertainment for $6 million. They accuse him of withholding up to $1 million in managerial fees.
This is the latest chapter in Phillips’ fight with 19 after he filed a petition with the California Labor Commission back in January to get out of his “oppressive” contract.
19 Entertainment, which manages Phillips and other “American Idol” alumni says that Phillips has stopped paying managerial fees “in anticipation” that his contract will be voided.
19 Entertainment filed a $6 million breach of contract suit against Phillips on Thursday (via TheWrap).
