‘American Idol’ Offers Luke Bryan Seat At Judges’ Table

“American Idol” has official offered a spot on the judges table to country singer Luke Bryan. Will he join Katy Perry and Ryan Seacrest on the ABC reboot? It’s only just weeks before taping of auditions in front of judges — and auditions for the next Idol has already begun.

TMZ reports that the producers want Bryan as judge #2 and that Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth and Keith Urban might be out. Bryan is also being offered “side deals” in the Disney empire to help with the budget:

Sources tell us … the way around the budget limitations is to offer people like Seacrest and Luke production deals with Disney that have great value but don’t impact the ‘Idol’ budget.

Luke Bryan definitely has my vote. He’ll definitely bring an instant rivalry to Blake Shelton on “The Voice” which “Idol” is trying beat as the #1 singing show on TV.
