Amazon To Refund Hoverboards In Full, Says U.S. Government
The number of hoverboards exploding continue to mount and the U.S. Consumer Product Commission continues to investigate. In the meantime, Amazon is already taking action by refunding hoverboards bought on the site in full, according to an statement by the U.S. CPSC:
I am pleased that at least one leading retailer is erring on the side of caution and taking action now. For consumers who purchased a hoverboard from Amazon, they can return the product right now for a full refund. I want to commend Amazon for voluntarily stepping up, providing a free remedy and putting customer safety first. I encourage consumers to take advantage of Amazon’s offer and to contact the company through the following site: https://www.amazon.com/contact-us/.
Amazon is still selling hoverboards though, like this Self Balancing Scooter from HoverTech. The company has not made an official announcement on the refunds.
