Alan Thicke Dead at 69
As 2016 nears its end, yet another familiar face leaves us too soon.
Growing Pains star Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69 due to a heart attack sustained while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter, according to TMZ. Thicke was taken to the Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A company responsible for collecting organs was notified of Thicke’s death, as the actor was listed as an organ donor. Thick is survived by his wife Tanya and sons Brennan, Carter, and singer Robin Thicke.
This is a pretty big shocker since he only just recently appeared on Fuller House on Netflix, in addition to having his own reality show on POPSD, titled Unusually Thicke. He was a hell of a star during the heyday of family-oriented sitcoms.
Our thoughts are with Thicke’s family and friends during this time.
