Afroman Apologizes For Punching a Female Fan in the Face (VIDEO)

Afroman punched a woman who wandered on stage at a performance yesterday (Feb. 17) and surprisingly his excuse was not, “because I got high.”

A video taken of the incident shows Afroman punching the woman in the face shortly after she walked on stage at which point she was knocked to the ground.

According to the singer (real name Joseph Foreman), he did not realize the gender of the person he hit, just that he knew a man had been heckling him throughout the show.

“I thought the girls had already left the stage and after hearing this guy for a few songs, I thought it was him,” Foreman explained. “I didn’t get a chance to eat dinner of medicate myself, so I was even more anxious than normal.”

After attacking the women, she made a citizen’s arrest. Afroman was arrested and charged on misdemeanor simple assault before being released on a $330 bond.

“This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space,” Afroman’s rep explained. “It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.”
