Adam Wakefield Dedicates ‘I Got a Woman’ to Girlfriend on The Voice 2016 (VIDEO)

Adam Wakefield sang “I Got a Woman” by Ray Charles on The Voice 2016 Live Top 10 Performances on Monday, May 2, 2016 for Team Blake Shelton.

Adam’s restrained, a cappella opening is really cool, and it gets even cooler once the band kicks in and the tempo picks up. Adam has shown an ability to sing a variety of different styles and tempos, and I think he’d be a very worthy winner, if he got to that point. He’s a complete package artist for the country scene. Not to belabor the Chris Stapleton comparisons, but he’s really got that grit and soul, even to his more fun performances like this. I’m definitely a fan. And that piano solo was badass, by the way.
